Quite honestly, I think Popeye's or Chicken Express is hard to beat. Honorable mention to Golden, Williams, and Edmonsons.

The one time that I ate Williams, it was horrible! Actually if you catch Albertsons when the chicken at the deli is fresh, it's pretty good.

I have never tried Chicken Express. I guess I need to. The Williams close to where I work is sometimes great and sometimes just so so. I think it depends on which cook showed up that day. I like Popeyes but they are expensive. Edmonsons was good but they closed the store that was close to my house. Is Grandy's still in business?

They are actually one of the few places that I like the catfish. They have good sides too. Give em a try. If you like Dublin DP, some of the CE's sell it. I know of 3 Grandy's that are still around (traffic circle, Rufe Snow and I-35 @ Seminary) but they are also expensive for what you get.

Went to Cicken Express for the first time yesterday. You all were right, that there is some very tasty chicken! And a good price too.

Hands down, its Babe's. Whether you go to the original in Roanoke or the new ones in Sanger and Burleson.. Dont order anything other than the Chicken ( they are famous for it).

I've not personally tried it, but the reviews have excellent opinions on Edmundson's Fried Chicken. Plus, it looks good from driving down the road. You know aplce named Edmundson's has to be pretty damned good anyway.

Chick-a-Dilly is great. If like Popeye's, you very well may love Chick-a-Dilly. You will find them in a few of the rural towns in North Louisiana and South Arkansas (Benton, Eldorado, Arcadia, Homer, Springhill, etc...) Good price also.
After that and dealing with what is here, Chicken Express and Popeye's is pretty good.

It's hard to beat Babe's Chicken. Babe's is the best. plus they have the best creamed corn I've ever had.
