Any body here how MrG and crew did in the tourney?
Crew turned out to be just MrsG and I. We made the mistake of catching a nice striper early and shallow. Not knowing the lake we stuck with that pattern for too long. We missed it by a mile. The bad thing is we were within a half a mile of the tournament winners.
The fish were actually on a July/Aug Belton pattern. Deep and suspended. We ended up in our regular 10th place.
From the fish we witnessed at the weighin Tawakoni is definately worth another trip. The winners had 9.5 and 10.5 stripers and caught many more.
One consolation was MrsG won the $50 sandbass pot with one that was pushing 2 lbs!
The TSA guys sure know how to put on a great tourney!
Glad to see there are still some fish being caught here. May have to hit um later in the week to see if I still know how.
, you folks did good! Wished we could have went also.
