I have heard of some high spots out in the gulf, called the Chandalier Islands. I was told they aren't really islands. But, that they are shallow enough to wade, and they are off the coast of Mississippi. One of my Dad's friends said that there are boat operators / outfitters who will take you out there for several days at a time on a large yatch, or something. They will provide you with a place to sleep and food to eat. Anybody ever been there or know anything about it?

Yep, but its been several years and several hurricanes since, including Katrina.

In its prime, it was incredible. Unbelievable redfishing. Great wade fishing. Needed to take a lot of extra line and lures because you battle with a whole lot of fish....It was fishing like maybe it was before so many people joined in...unspoiled.

But, I understand it has gone downhill considerably over the last few years. Before making a trip out there, I would sure want to hear a recent report...its a long ways to go for a water haul.
