Thinking about getting out Saturday or Sunday night, probably to either Clear Lake or Rhodes. Anyone up for it?

I've never done any night tubing. Sounds cool though. Do you use some kind of light?

I just wear an LED headlamp--keeps it handy but out of the way. Some folks I fish with rig up those big blacklights on the front of their tubes, then use photochromatic lights--makes 'em shine like you wouldn't believe!

Muttley and I are trying to decide if we are going to Rhodes or try lost creek in the morning.

Rick, we ended up at Clear Lake. Caught about 20 between us. Biggest went about 4 pounds--mostly dinks. Lake looks GREAT! Water is high and has cleared up very nicely, and is around 81 degrees. I actually found 40 feet of water in a large area out in the middle--didn't know it was anywhere near that deep! Black and blue Senkos and black Horny Toads were the best baits. I couldn't believe we had the lake to ourselves on a holiday weekend. It was peaceful and very nice to get out again.

I went to Rhodes last night. I caught a dozen, most on a horny toad, but a couple on a Senko and 1 on a Yellow Magic. Buddy only caught 2, but one was a fat 4 pounder up in the trees. The bank directly opposite of the ramp was really holding them.

Ron (BigLeslie) just called. He and another guy will be headed out there. They'll be trying to launch a 16 ft. Express. Could be an adventure!

We didn't make it out there after all. We sort of were having second thoughts about putting the boat out there, and our all nighter started catching up with us from the evening before.

Just read the post. I had to work the last two nights. I'm getting tired of being poor. Myabe next weekend.

Snakes love tubers at night time. Can sneak up on you real stealth like. Hear tell of a tube found floating with no tuber inside...all that was left was a large brown trail leading down into the water....never to seen or heard from again....
