Anybody know anywhere that i can hunt some arrowheads around the DFW area? It's been quite a while since i have been and i don't really know anywhere to hunt around here. Grew up in Mason County and there's a ton of arrowheads there........haven't been so lucky since i moved to the city.

i sure do miss some mason arrowhead huntin myself. miss it alot

I found one out at horseshoe bend out here in Weatherford one day while I was fishing. I have looked since with no luck, but it might be a good place.

based on the antiquities law it just about illegal everywhere

It is not illegal on private land with the owner's permission but IS illegal on all public land. If you find something on public land you are required to leave it lay. I am a big Native American Artifact hunter and do a lot of digging on private land in Central Texas. I have looked into the laws and am perfectly legal in all regards. Private land with permission is the key, though.
