gonna throw some shrimp on the grille among other things but I've never grilled shrimp before. Can anybody give me some tips and tell me how long to keep it on the grille. I'm talking about regular shrimp on skewers. Thanks, Bobby

I soak them in melted butter and minced garlic for about an hour before cooking. Then I stick them on a skewer. Sprinkle a little Tony Chachere's over them. I can't give you a time(due to different heat levels) but you want the golden orange just like when you boil or fry shrimp. Doesn't take long at all. Don't over cook them because they will have the texture of rubber. I keep flipping them as well. Hope this helps.

That sounds good... When I grill shrimp, I marinate them in Zesty Italian dressing for an hour or so. If your using wood skewers, be sure to soak them awhile in water so they dont burn up. Also use two skewers on the shrimp so they dont twirl around on ya. As far as time, I would say with a good hot fire, about 3 or maybe 4 mins per side. Like he said, dont over cook them. They should be pink. Good luck!

I almost forgot. If you have a bbq sauce brush, keep "painting" the shrimp with the butter and garlic as they are cooking.

I peel the shell's off, sprinke with tony, lay a slice of jalepeno on the shrimp, wrap in half a slice of bacon, hold everything in place with toothpicks, grill till done turning as needed. 3-5 minutes.

Forget Tony's. It's nasty. Try THISonce. Use it sparingly...it's salty. Soak the shrimp in : Viva Italian dressing, Ball's general purpose cajun seasoning, and KC Masterpiece original BBQ ( or your favorite) sauce. I peel the top off first, making "shrimp in shorts", skewer them, and soak them in the above mixture. Slap 'em on the grill and watch them CLOSELY....or they'll overcook. Just as you take them off, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over them.

I buy the 10-12 count shrimp when they come onsale. I shell them and marinate overnight them in: Olive Oil Cilantro (about 1/2 a bunch chopped) Chopped fresh garlic (I like a lot) Cumin spice Zest from one lime Black Pepper Red pepper flakes Marinate them overnight. About 1 hour before cooking, add the lime juice from the zested lime (dont leave overnight in juice or it will "cook" the shrimp). Skewer and grill on a very hot grill. They will get great char color in no time without over cooking. make sure you scoop some of the garlic/cilantro on them while grilling.

Also, use Reynold's Release Aluminum Foil.
All the flavor without the stick.

Shrimp on the grill is the best, I use Cavenders Greek Seasoning, just peel the shrimp, put on skewers, sprinkle the seasoning and throw on the grill, totaly addicting and easy to do.

All the recipes sound good but the skewer part can be troublesome. The last time I grilled shrimp, I put them in a grilling basket - crowded them in but in a single layer. It was very easy to turn them on the grill and easy to serve. Won't ever use the skewers again. bh
