I fished last Friday in Delacroix. We made a good day
out very bad conditions. Too windy to fish Breton Sound
where they have been slaying the trout. Plan B-
fish the marsh. Water was very fresh( some areas had
6 inches of rain on thursday) and dirty. At least we
had a strong incoming tide. We set up just inside
a decent size pond/lake near a washed out canal bank.
the water was rushing in over an oyster bed. Picked up
a few reds on plastics , but a live shrimp drifted along
the bottom in the current was the ticket.
We boxed an LA. limit of 10, with 3 going 7-10lbs. Released
several.
I was looking forward to eating trout , but will have to
settle for redfish.

good luck
