I haven't been to RC yet this year. Where is a good area to start casting this weekend? Thanks

The 309 flats area is always a good place to start. The edges of that hump out in front of the boat ramp, the one that gets exposed if the lake level goes down, is one of my favorite spots. Pelican island, wind sock point, the lighthouse, Ferguson Point, all good places.

We finally got my 150 Yammy fixed. The timing advance lever had popped off the throttle linkage and was hiding behind a ridge. That explains why it would choke down and die when the throttle was engaged. My fishing buddy/mechanic found it and has earned Metromonte's Mechanic Badass Award. I never would have seen it and was about ready to spend big bucks to have the pros look at it.

I'll be fishing Fairfield Saturday evening for whopper Reds. If that doesn't pan out we might head to Richland on Sunday for whopper Hybrids. See you out there.

The Lighthouse could be a Monte-ism, not sure if anyone else calls it that. Between Ferguson Point and Fisherman's Point there is a housing addition with what appears to be a clubhouse which has a decorative lighthouse and a fancy looking copper roof. There is a creek channel there where we pick up alot of sandies.
