Hey everyone, just checking back in after my trip to the Tyler State Park this past week. I saw many people come and go on boats and also along the shore, and it seemed to be a very slow week out there. A couple people caught some crappies (maybe about three total that I saw) and I caught a bass (only one I saw), that's about it. A few nibbles here and there, but no other hooks (I had one on the bait, but the hook didn't take, so it got away before I could get it out of the water).
All in all, a good week for me, no work, nice and quiet area, and I caught one!
Caught it on a Wave Worm 5" Tiki Stick (watermelon w/ black flake on advice of ralph in my last post).
Thanks again for the tips from everyone, think I might have to do this more often.
Almost forgot, the small tackle box there is 5.5". I measured it on the photo and used that ratio to calculate the length of the fish, 14.2", I was excited...place was so dead, nobody was around to share my excitement.
