fish up above canyon. ask the guys at Grune Outfitters for locations. water is warmer, fish more active.

I fish on the upper guadelupe between the state park and rebecca creek and there are a lot of bluegills.
o and in that last pic what type of black bass is that? Im trying to learn to tell them apart.

Treeman, that bass is either a guadalupe bass, or a spotted bass, not a black. See the bottom stomach area of that fish that has lines like a striper?? That means it's not ablck. Most likely a spotted bass.
Lot's of them, though

Wish I still had a pic to show, but me and some friends were bass fishing out on the main lake. I thought I had a little smallie on and it turns out I caught a huge redbreast on a 1/2 oz. spinnerbait! Talk about a greedy fish! At least we know they are out there!

ok so with a largemouth is the stripe more pronounced and a white belly?

I think i had a spotted bass then, I thought it was a small largemouth. his stripe was very apparent but the white on the belly didnt start till the bottom.

go to texas parks and wildlife site, then click on aquatic species for teaxs. it will help you identify bass.
