fished from sunrise to about 1pm and only managed a few 10-12 inch lmb. it was a beautiful day, especially early.

anyone do good out there today?

i also managed to loose a pole - a brand new shimano sahara 4000 spinning reel on a 7ft medium bps bionic blade. it went over in a large cove just south of the 720 bridge [west side of the lake when heading north]. in case someone drags it up.

In the Media Event there today it took 13.76 to get a check and 21.21 won. I thought they bit quite well. Raymond and myself finished second with 16.68 I think. I am really begining to like Lewisville. I feel the lake is extremely under rated.

Congrats Tim and Raymond. You may need to relocate if you keep up the success on Lewisville. How many teams made it out?

Mark, I thought your name was on the early entry list. Why did you not fish?

We were gonna fish Granbury originally but both had other commitments come up and requested our entry be moved. I thought I had requested it be moved to the Bridgeport event but I was mistaken and it was moved to Lewisville and I caught it Thursday night and had it transferred. Chad is at RC and I am on shift. Had we known we may have made arrangements and fished as I am like you I really enjoy Lewisville. Congrats again.

Actually just saw the results and one of my good friends was part of the winning team. Nice sack at over 21lbs. I talked to him Friday a bit so its good to see them get a win as they are tough just about anywhere. Congrats to Corky&Rusty.

We had a good day out there. We finished just out of the money with 13.46. We caught around 10 keepers. We thought we were doing pretty good, but so was everyone else haha. Great day on the water, and I agree with Tim..I'm really starting to like Lewisville and will start spending more time on it.

Lewisville is really fishing great, and has been since last fall. Don't forget the "1st Annual Britteny Lindt Memorial" tournament at Lake Lewisville on Saturday May 31st!

We had a pretty good day with 13.55, but had a half pound penalty for a dead fish and ended with 13.05. We couldn't find any big bites, all of our fish weighed in were 16"-18". I am still not a fan of Lewisville, it is too far from Azle.

Lewisville has a pretty good reputation in mid to late Spring, but when the summetime temps kick in, she can really shut down, unless you know how to find 'em deep or on the rocks early in the a.m.

Yes it was. We culled twice back in there, and I lost a big fish. Never saw it so I just said it was carp haha. I guess that's a chance you have to take when throwing 10 lb test. Spinning tackle caught all of our keepers.
