Me and my brother caught a bunch of perch out of his pond Saturday afternoon. I caught the most perch using a Capps/Coleman 9' wading rod rigged with a 1/16 oz. Yum Wooly Beavertail (black/pink 1.5"). I also caught a few bass on this rig. The fish were all real pretty in color because of the clear water. The pond had 6' visibility.

It was real mossy around the banks but the moss cleared in the middle. I caught fish by casting as well as fishing vertical in the deeper 6-9 ft. water and also at the moss line around 4-6 ft. My brother caught one big crappie that would go 1.5 #. He also caught several others casting a white jig with a blade similar to a roadrunner.

Due to the moss, we had to fish out of his small fiberglass boat (with our mouse friend). The boat is on it's last leg because the fiberglass deck where we sit to oar in the front of the boat is cracked plus the boat has already bean patched several times. We're keeping an eye out for a little bass buster boat with a trolling motor because we are tired of oaring.
