Just got through cleaning a mess of bluegills. 30 keepers - biggest right at 10 inches. caught between 8:30 - 11:00 Saturday morning on Fairfield using crickets and worms. The 2 hour trip from DFW was worth it this morning. Also got to see a bald eagle perched in a treetop in the cove I was fishing. It was quite a site.

BBrown, no need to worry. I only make the trip once a year to get my bluegill 'fix'. I'm sure I left a few for you and everyone else. wink

Reeds were mostly in too shallow of water. Positioned my boat in 8' of water and threw my bobber towards the bank varying my depth until I found them. Caught every one in one spot at a depth of 4 1/2 feet right off the bottom. Anchored my boat after catching the first one and never moved. food

Thanks, F-R, for the info. Gotta know how to nail them when we go down next month for the fish-fry.
