The Grand Slam was held on the Red River this weekend and the winner of the $40,000.00 Triton boat had borrowed a boat to fish out of in the tournament. Jason Robertson of Pineville La. had borrowed a boat to use during the tournament. Jason had to know his odds were good when he was competing against only 20 other boaters. Jason caught 15.70 on Friday then followed that up with a 12.84 sack on Saturday. Jason said he used spinner baits and crank baits to put his winning sack together. The one I am really proud of was the co angler winner Sharon Withers of Sam Rayburn Tx. Most people don't know this but Sharon has only been fishing tournaments a couple of years and she has really done well learning this sport. Sharon also fishes the WBT as a co angler and said some day she will be on the front of the boat, but right now she is still learning and having fun. Congradulations to the winner's. I too am very proud of Sharon, she was pretty excited when I talked to her. She and my wife left this morning to fish the WBT on Neely Henry, Alabama.
I told her I hoped she didn't use up all her MOJO on the Red.
