Nice fish!!! I sure miss fishin' those S. Oklahoma lakes with my Dad. He caught the Oklahoma state record out of Lake Humphreys several years ago & I sure had some good times fishin' there with him.
Congratulations on a fine day & Good Fishin', LlindeX

My Dad & I fished Waurika quit a bit up until he had his stroke 4 years ago. LMB fishing was just so-so. Largest we ever got out of there was about 8 lbs and we usually only got two or three small bass per trip. Crappie fishing there is another story though! Also lots of nice hybrids of pretty good size. Best places for LMB are on the points along the North side of the lake.
Hope that helps, & Good Fishin', LlindeX

Hope that helps, & Good Fishin', LlindeX Thanks for the info. My Dad just built a house on the north side of the lake and I've only been out there once. We did some Crappie fishin in his pontoon. It does have some nice Slabs!! I'll be taking my Bassboat up the Memorial day weekend and was hoping to do some LMB fishing. I noticed that you really have to look out for the stumps. Anyways thanks again!!

You're right about the low lying stumps in Waurika!! We used to see two or three boats a year that had major damage done to them. Seems like they maintain the water level in that lake at just the right height to barely submerge them. If you don't really know the lake, keep the speed down when you're anywhere in the upper 1/3. Some of those hidden stumps are way out in what looks like open water. Makes for some really fine Crappie fishin' tho.
Regards, & Good Fishin', LlindeX

Finished up college playing FB at SOSU at Durant. There were some really nice tanks and Gov. Lakes all through that area.
