This unit has higher res than my new color unit and has separate buttons for everything rather than a menu system.....very user friendly for those of us no so technically inclined. If I am asking too much then just tell me how I can help.....I have no use for it and ebay is next where it will sell for $250+ but I like helping fellow Texans when possible.

I don't think so.....that's why they sell for only $300 now instead of $1200 like when they were released. It came out just before the color models.....here's a picture. I'm up for trades for hunting, fishing, or camping gear if the $$$ is a problem.....I just don't need this thing anymore but the resolution is much better than the stupid color unit I bought....I have no idea why they would downgrade the resolution but I guess this WAS the top of the line a few years ago and I didn't buy the best color unit.

I think you can get one from Southwestern Parts for like $70 but I could be totally wrong. Give them a call....on Mockingbird Lane in Dallas.

I DO know what the "Man Overboard" button is for but still can't hit it fast enough before....well, I'm overboard ! Its a design flaw if you ask me.....I guess a remote control took the production costs up too much or maybe they figured what's the point of setting a waypoint of your location if nobody is driving the boat to come get you . I just detach the ignition kill cord so if I fall out and manage to hit the "man overboard" button while going over......at least the boat will drive somewhere and someone will know where I am with the GPS marker. I just hope someone notices there is no driver and stops the boat, Don Johnson style, before it crashes and my location is lost.
