Haven't been on Palestine in quite a while. Decided to hit it in the am. Any advice on where to start? Was thinking about up north or kickapoo. Didn't know what the recent rain had done though. Any advice is appreciated...gas is pretty high to be running around all day...

I'm going in the morning as well. I will start in Kickapoo (using that ramp) and then about Lunch time going over to Highsaw/Ledbetter and towing there to the resort. That boat uses to much gas to do all that running. Just bring a topwater, fluke (watermellon seed), and a jig (black/blue). That should get ya threw the day. Well you might also try a shallow crank.
Good Luck to ya

Jody

Appreciate it Jody. I think I've read some of your stuff about Lake Tyler as well. I'll be in a blue/white cat. Probably put in on the other end of the highline. Holler if we cross paths. That blue boat house in Ledbetter used to always hold a couple. Think the painted it a different color over the winter though.

Lower lake should have some fish still spawning. They were this time last year.
