I remember my first jig fish. Early January, new lake for me (Grepapevine), BBFT tourney, line kept freezing up on me, throwing a new bait (jig). then BAM, 5.12# bass, that kept me warm the rest of that freesing cold day. To bad that fish was only good for second place, fist place was something like 5.32#.

Get ready because some of the fish you will catch on a jig in the future will eat that one...need a big bite? Throw a jig!

The person behind the camera was my brothers wife and I dont know why she took the picture like that.

I caught one more on a jig today, I am starting to feel better about them now.

I'm a novice jig fisherman as well. I am fishing with Fork Guide Marc Mitchell this coming Thursday, and I am going to ask him to help me learn to fish a jig and what the nuances of it are. Looking forward to that. Nice fish!
