Magnesium will have a white smoke when burned and heat up to 5000 degrees. I have machined alot of magnesium and have burn alot of it also. The gun powered is what caused the expolsion. Not the mag.

The shirt was blackened by the event itself. Also, a faulty wall switch is often loose and could trip positions with the concussion as is reported in earthquakes and sonic boooms. So as you can see it is real.
what a knucklehead !!!
