I've always used/bought Falcon Rods. I have to say after my recent experience with their customer service I will remain a customer for life.

I had one of their LCF-5-1610 Eakins Jig Special rods break on me. Like most, I never sent in the warranty information. I went to their website to see what I needed to do about getting the rod replaced. After seeing the information about return address, $20 check for shipping, and warranty information needed I figured Falcon would contact me to pay the "out of warranty replacement" that they offer on their rods. Much to my surprise on my doorstep yesterday afternoon was a new rod covered under warranty. Hats off to Falcon for taking care of a customer even though the rod was less than 5 years old, but I couldn't prove it.

Here's the kicker. I put the rod in the mail last Wednesday, May 7th. I got it back yesterday. That's a week for them to get the rod in the mail, process it, put it back in the mail, and get to me. I was impressed. Figured I would pass along the word as you generally hear more bad experiences rather than good with customer service. thumb thumb to Falcon!

Darn good customer service.

I recently broke a tip on a brand new Bps XPS rod. I set the hook on a branch and it just broke off. I am wondering if the rod itself was a defect or something. Do you guys think they will replace it?
I guess it is worth a try.

Good to know. I have a Falcon Carolina Lizard Dragging rod or something like that. It is a nice rod. I hope I never have to take it in. My baitcaster is on it.

I don't know about Falcon for sure but I know St. Croix can tell when their rods are built by the serial number and I bet Falcon is the same way. They can't tell when it was sold but they knew it was not 5 years old.

I figured that Johnny, but I was more impressed with the turn around time. flehan

That's why my local academy takes these rods back and replaces on the spot, because they know they can get a replacement from Falcon, and other top rods.

I have no complaints about Falcon. I broke the same rod in a Cara first time out swinging a 2lber over the side of the boat and they replaced it after a call to the factory ... good folks!
