Have any of you guys ever used this reel for inshore and light offshore fishing? My brother was going to buy 1 and asked if I knew anything about it. Also I was wondering if any of you knew of any websites on different knot tying strategies. Any help would be appreciated.

Reel,
i have one of the larger Tekota's that i used for Blackfin tuna jigging till i got one with a faster retrieve. the Reel held up real well and Shimano customer service has always been great for me.

The Tekota is a very good reel... you can get Carbontex drag washers from www.SmoothDrag.com if you intend to do offshore fishing.

Try this Knots link.. Shows you exactly how to tie them in an animated video form.
