Me and friends want to meet in Abilene and then go fishing, but we do not know which is the best lake to go too. We also plan on camping so we are also looking for a good place to camp.

I would appreciate any input on these subjects.

What kind of fishing are you wanting to do ?

Probably just going to bait fish.

Elm Creek on O.H. Ivie is a good bet for camping, don't know much about live bait fishing there but, it should be good. They sell bait at the Marina (minnnows, worms, etc...)

Lake Stamford has two camp grounds with water and electricity. The Anchor and Stamford Marina. Both have a bait shop and the Marina has a Crappie House and the Anchor has a big dock.
