I have got to figure out how to get pictures off my phone on to the computer cause I have some great ones.Took a guy from Ark. and one from the rayburn area out on sunday(moters day, I know, I know)but just had an awsome day, they are bitting, our biggest was right at 10 and a nice bunch of 4 to 6 lbers. Most were caught on tx rigged worms in still pretty shallow water 10-12 feet and it got real crazy once that hard north wind blew through they really turned on. We mainly stayed on points but did cath a few early on blades just going down the banks. Anyone interested in a trip or just some info befor you come down dont hesitate to call I always like talking fishing. Jimmy Steed 956 286 4091

I hope all the people that were on the "B.A.S.S. is killing the lakes" bandwaggon are reading your reports. Still great numbers and great sizes coming out of there and Amistad. The timing was just perfect on those lakes. They wouldn't be in shape they're in if that didn't have the capability of recovering.

Thanks for the report.

BASS did kill a lot of fish out of Falcon that was uncalled for. Don't see what that has to do with Jimmy;s report other than there are still fish in Falcon.

The fact that they killed fish isn't really the issue, even though it is unnecessary and uncalled for. The bandwaggoners (new word) were claiming that B.A.S.S. is ruining the lakes. As long as they've been around, I doubt B.A.S.S. can take the blame for any lake that has declined. Quite the contrary actually. The attention they bring to lakes and the lakes' new popularity are factors that encourage stocking by TP&WD, who generally stock high quality fish.

The fish that were killed is the only issue,no one can blame any one orginazation for any lake getting worse or better but its just that one would expect more from the "leaders in the tournament world". Falcon is still just unbelivable but this was just the first of many, many more big tournaments to come, and if things keep going like the way that "live release" went, in a few years those reports might read a little different.

My dad fished Falcon today. He caught 4 with the biggest being over 7 lbs. All caught in the coves near state park with most coming on a black and yellow spinnerbait.
