I had the same problem. First of all there is a cable with a red wire-hot and a black and bare wire-ground. dod you wire it this way? secondly, see if the fuse is blown. these were my problems it messed up on.

You have to power the GPS antenna separately. The two wires in the bundle are the smaller red and black wires.

do you have a Y connector coming off the graph, one goes to the actually GPS puck and the should have a 60 ohm resistor in it

I'm not sure about the 520, but the module for the 332 has to be at least 3 feet away from the unit. I was having the same issues with my 332, Lowrance instructed me to move my module and I havn't had a problem sence....

If it worked for you that's good, but just for the record, the antenna does not HAVE TO (always) be 3 feet away from the unit.
My antenna sits on the flat part between the windshield and the gunnel, (TR186) and is inches, not feet away from the unit, and it works just fine. The important thing is the anteena must have a clear shot of the sky with no obstructions.

The bare wire needs to be hooked up to the ground wire(black).

You might have to power the puck also. My 27c has a power cord to the puck.

He is right though, SOME units will work just fine with the GPS antennea that close to the unit. When I had a 520, it would not work when they were that close. Lowrance told me there needed to be atleast 12 inches of seperation between the two because of electromagnetic interference.

I have my puck mounted right next to the graph on my X25c and it has no problems picking up a signal...

I had my 332C on the console before I got my X25C and the puck was mounted in the same place and it never had a problem picking up the signal...

I am still curious, if the orginal poster of this, got it working or not. I hope so, having something and not being about to use it for it complete compacity is no fun.

Not responding means that the GPS puck is not getting power or doesn't have a good connection to the unit.Could be fried too.

When the puck is located too close to "SOME" units you get a position lost alarm intermittently or won't aquire your position.

Now can we get back to talking fishing instead of equipment problems on the bass fishing section.

This is always the section to get an answer quickly. Not everyone reads the Equipment Section.

SkeeterHawk is right. problem is in the power of the network cable. I installed mine three weeks ago according to the instructions in the manual. Unit powered up and my location in my driveway was found. Wire it like the diagram has it with the grounds and shield to ground it should work. Double check the power and ground connections.
