I've always used/bought Falcon Rods. I have to say after my recent experience with their customer service I will remain a customer for life.

I had one of their LCF-5-1610 Eakins Jig Special rods break on me. Like most, I never sent in the warranty information. I went to their website to see what I needed to do about getting the rod replaced. After seeing the information about return address, $20 check for shipping, and warranty information needed I figured Falcon would contact me to pay the "out of warranty replacement" that they offer on their rods. Much to my surprise on my doorstep yesterday afternoon was a new rod covered under warranty. Hats off to Falcon for taking care of a customer even though the rod was less than 5 years old, but I couldn't prove it.

Here's the kicker. I put the rod in the mail last Wednesday, May 7th. I got it back yesterday. That's a week for them to get the rod in the mail, process it, put it back in the mail, and get to me. I was impressed. Figured I would pass along the word as you generally hear more bad experiences rather than good with customer service. thumb thumb to Falcon!

Darn good customer service.

I recently broke a tip on a brand new Bps XPS rod. I set the hook on a branch and it just broke off. I am wondering if the rod itself was a defect or something. Do you guys think they will replace it?
I guess it is worth a try.

good to hear, i use falcon rods myself and hope i never have a problem, but if i do its nice to know they are 100% behind their stuff

Good to know. I have a Falcon Carolina Lizard Dragging rod or something like that. It is a nice rod. I hope I never have to take it in. My baitcaster is on it.

I don't know about Falcon for sure but I know St. Croix can tell when their rods are built by the serial number and I bet Falcon is the same way. They can't tell when it was sold but they knew it was not 5 years old.

I had a broke tip Falcon, took to Academy, NEW rod.
Broke tip Bass Pro Shops, took it in, NEW rod.

That's why my local academy takes these rods back and replaces on the spot, because they know they can get a replacement from Falcon, and other top rods.

I have no complaints about Falcon. I broke the same rod in a Cara first time out swinging a 2lber over the side of the boat and they replaced it after a call to the factory ... good folks!
