I figure some of you guys could answer this question faster

I've got the Maxxum Pro w/ the Universal transducer and a Hummingbird graph, but I'm wanting to switch to a Lowrance 520....The website says SELECT Lowrance units are compatible....My question is....Is the 520 one of those SELECT compatible units?

Should work fine. You need adapter cable MKR-US2-10.

how do you know he doesnt have the older US1 sonar? if you have a temp sensor its the US2, if not- you need the US1 compatible cable.

Lowerance has a Customer service website q/a facility.
I asked mine about 10 days ago and got an email reply from "loproducts" <products@lowrance.com>
Customer Service: 1-800-324-1356
Lowrance website: < http://www.lowrance.com/>

However I think you would be better asking MK about Lowerance unit compatability.

I have a 08 Triton 20X2 with the Maxxun Pro 101 w/ the Universal Transducer and the Lowrance 520C up front and at the dash. My 520C up front works fine with the Minn Kota. You will need the adapter from Minn Kota to connect the two.

Also if you get the 520C, be sure to check the software version. The current release solved a lot of littlie things.

Good luck!!
