I am looking at buying a 1995 Pro Gator 18ft with 115 mariner thats at a dealer its priced at 6250 but the dealer says its a consignment deal and the guy is really wanting it gone and will take 5000 if offered. Do yall think this is a good deal I wish I could post a pice but its in good condition (looks like) from the pictures I will see in person tommorrow, I know its hard to tell from just a post but what do you guys think.

see if they will let you take it somewhere and have it look at,if they say no,then you should walk away

The price sounds good. Pro Gator is a good boat. I agree with David Lee. You need to have it checked out.

It would be nice if you could have the compression checked, Lowerunit and such. Maybe dyno tested.

And of course, a lake run is always nice.

Impossible to guess without reliable info on condition of the motor.

If the motor has 'issues', you may end up needing to add anywhere from $2,500 - $12,500 more to your investment......depends.

not just the motor you need to worry about. have a reputable shop check it thoroughly!

if the place it is at says they checked it our for you and its in very good condition... dont believe it. happened to me. take it somewhere else to have checked out.

progator is a tough boat so your only question is , is the motor good , have someone check it out and be shure to do a leak down test on the powerhead
