Fished a tourney back in february water temps were still pretty cold. When you leave the ramp at the dam and turn south there is 2 docks in the second big cove that have brush around them bass seem to hold there pretty well. The rock around the big houses that you see when you leave the ramp seem to hold jig bass all year. Don't forget the cat tail islands should be some morning biters there. If you run up to choke a block fish the docks on the south side all the way down. And then flip some jigs around the stump in the channel should get you bit. I would throw some spitnfire wood jigs, a few wacky rigged senkos and throw that buzzbait early and maybe even a bone colored spook.

im fishing sat. my girlfriend may be coming along, but im not sure yet. i dont think i will make sunday because its my birthday and i may busy doing the 12 oz curls.

I caught a gar a few weeks back out of the Leon River on a crappie rig. Weird.

If it helps this weekend, there are usually 2 or 3 nice bass up in the cove to the north of the dam...

What is the water temp now??

Well, I went out yesterday and first part of today. Had decent luck catching a few bass. I caught probably 8 yesterday and 2 today and several schooling sand bass to pass the time, lol. Bad thing is they were all small ones, only a couple that went over 14 inches. But like they say any day on the water is better than no day. I hope everyone else had better luck than me.
