After Bud got mt attention with his snot minnow, I have been intriqued with trying to tie flies with the use of plastics. I am heading down to chase spotted, and smallmouth bass this weekend on the Guad, and I have a good feeling about these baits. Will post pics, Monday

Wish me luck, troutbum

Nice looking stuff. I can't imagine them not being productive.

That 1st fly has my attention! That looks like it would make a great white bass spawning run fly. I would want 1/2doz. like it and 1/2doz. with just the split tail chartreuse. Please send instuctions via PM or post

deckhand. just be creative!!! I glue the plastics on the hook, before starting the tying process. I have been using trailer worms for spinner baits, small flukes, small worms, and shad type baits. The original pattern was the snot minnow, which my friend Bud tied with the tentacles from a play ball, that was bought in a toy store. Then I just add stuff. Chenille, saddle feathers, or anything you have that looks fishy. I also tie them as closuers. Will post Monday!!

Wow, those are nice! I've experimented with Charlie Brewer Slider grubs for crappie by threading the line thru the grub, Works ok, but wouldn't be my first choice.
Yours, however, look much, much better and should catch lots of fish! Good Luck and I'd like a report as well!

No not yet, probably go to Texoma next wednesday. When I was fishing the guad this past weekend, those bass were keyed in on crawdads. those little bass were pigs. had crawdads in their mouths, and would then eat another. my son embarrassed me using plastics, and i was throwing buggers.
