Sam Rayburn is at 163.33 ft and still falling. The water temperature has been around 75.
The water in clear for the most part to 2 ft. with a little more color as you go up the rivers.

This week we’ve been out several times and had some luck catching a few nice fish on each trip.
One went about 6 lbs and was caught on a Stanley Jig on some offshore structure. We managed to hook some other keepers. I was in his boat and forgot my camera. He got some pictures and will send them to me Monday. I will post some on my site when I get them. My client Saturday lost a good fish on a jig; it came up and threw the hook. We got a good look at her and she was over 6 lbs. easy. It was his first fish on the jig and he is hooked on them now. We’ve been getting a few on the Ribbits this week and it looks like its going to get better as the weather continues to stabilize. The senkos and wacky worm have been doing great on the grass edges. The Carolina and Texas Rig off long points and ledges have been getting a few hits. Most of these fish are holding in groups and finding a group is the first key getting them to bite is the next one. Some of the best colors have been Pumpkin, Green Pumpkin and Watermelon Red. The best depth has bee 5 to 12 ft. in grass and 16 to 25 on the deep fish.

The Crappie has been doing okay this week with a lot caught off the bridges and grass edges. There are a lot still with eggs in them that we’ve been catching off the brush piles. Minnows have been the best so far. Over the grass a small Trap or Road Runner will pick up a few. I know we have had 3 limits this week and a lot of fun doing it.

If you haven’t heard about The Bass Class on the Water check it out on the website and give me a call. Learn some neat stuff to help find fish on any lake. God Bless
