I have a Garmin 250 on the bow of my boat and an Eagle 650(?)Fish Eagle with the Fishfinder and GPS on it and I cannot get either one to register fish arches. I have farted around with this thing for over a year and I cannot get the correct arches to show.

I have contacted tech-support for both companies and I make their recommended changes and still nothing. Does anyone recommend a source where I could get a good Q&A session going? I would really appreciate it. I know there's fish in Amistad, Alan Henry, OH Ivie, Brownwood, Hubbard Creek and all the other lakes I fish and I only get them with "Fish Alert PIcs" and those are never accurate.

Please help!!!

Also if anyone knows another person that is knowledgeable about the Eagle unit. Sometimes that unit will just blink and not give an accurate depth/fish reading for sometimes in excess of an hour... Just sits there blinking... Piece of Cr*p! $700 bucks for that...

Thanks.

I don't understand what you mean by "I only get them with "Fish Alert PIcs" - you mean you got arches and fish pictures on the same screen? Usually, when you turn off the Fish ID feature the pics go away and you see arches instead.

Of course you have to actually have fish under the boat. What kind of fish are you looking for?

How is the transducer mounted? A picture would help.

Curious about something: if you paid $700 for a piece of [censored] that just blinks for over an hour, why are you asking about it here instead of standing at the return desk where you bought it?

That's a good point. I am actually working with Eagle for getting this sent back. I was trying to make it through the SPring Tourney season before sending it back.

I did mean the Fish ID symbols. If I don't have those, I certainly do not get fish arches either. I adjusted sensitivity and gain. I have used manual/auto modes. Nothing works. I am going to try and do the newest EAgle software update to see if that helps. If not, it will be going back...
