Thinking of hosting the first ever spotted bass tournament on Eagle Mountain Lake. All I need is enough people interested. Here is what I have in mind: $50 per team entry, 10 spots per team limit, Saturday or Sunday depends on what works best for most, 6am to 1pm weigh-in, heavy stringer(no big bass), pay 1 place per 5 entry. Date June or July or both if enough interested.

10 spots in the livewell (even small ones) in June or July sounds like a high chance for mortality.

no more high of a chance than an individuals tournament with a 5 fish per person limit.

Just spots to make it more competitive and everyone should be on even groung. Those that have a vast knowledge of EagleMountain always win the open tournaments. I think this drives away the weekend angler and those new to fishing that would like to fish tournaments, but their knowledge of the lake is not as good as others. An Amature has just as good of a shot at winning as a professional. It's real tough to put 15+ pounds in the boat to have a shot at winning for most of us. As far as Moratality I agree with wconn33, and I have kept a nice limit of Largemouth (10 fish) alive all day in the dead of August in just a Cooler. Also we will weigh-in at 1:00 pm instead of 3:00 pm which seems to be the norm.
