Fished Fayette Friday, Sat and Sun mornings from 6:00 am til 9:30. Friday morning the bass were absolutely schooling in the reeds, it was wild. Took me about 20 minutes to get them pegged, and they ended up blasting pearl Lake Fork Flappin Shads. They wanted the bait as far into the reeds as possible, sometimes that was only 6 to 12 inches but it mattered. Ended up with around 25 Friday morning up to 4 lbs. Saturday morning was a little slower, but wefishing with Ben and Chris Woody we caught around 15. This morning fishing by myself I ended up with 14 or so. I had a bigun, got that sucker stopped before it broke me off in the trees and when I had her coming to the boat she came up and it just came out. Dangit! Also caught a few each morning fishing grass in 4-8 feet on watermelon T-rigged beavers. Great lake, absolute blast and cant wait to come back next year!

I've never heard of an open tournament on Fayette, but if there is one it's not this Friday. Probably hard, if not impossible, on a slot lake unless there's an official in each boat.

Brewer, you are correct... 5 under 14" and 1 over 24".

Again, if anyone wants to go out Friday let me know. I'd prefer to go with someone that's very familiar with the lake. Only thing you'll need to bring is your gear and tackle.

Four under and one over, OR five under and no over. That's the law.
