During the last shutdown over at the plant, they fixed the two major pumps that bring water from the Trinity River and supplement Fairfield Lake. They are steadily pumping water in, and by the end of the month we should start to see a difference. With the plant generating and the evaporation factor, it won't rise very fast but it will some. A couple of really good rains now could make a huge difference.

The biggest issue is the bedding areas. The reason the summer bed fishing was so good last year was because the lake was up and all the good bedding areas were accessible to the fish. right now those areas are high and dry.

We'll still need some rain to get caught up, but at least they can keep it up once it rises.

Get this...I also found out today that the reason they hadn't gotten the pumps fixed earlier is because the company didn't have the money alloted for the pumps or the water last year. They have to pay for the water they pump, but to who I'm not sure.

That does sound strange.....but then that's the way the Government seems to like to work....shady and quietly!

Thanks for all the heads-up.......
