Sand bass fishing on Ray Roberts is as good as it gets. Fish are starting to show up on main lake structure coming back from spawning. Some days the birds help find them but the most reliable way is use your electronics and look at points, humps, roads and ridges from Isle du Bois State Park to Wolf Island in 20ft. to 32ft. Have also caught them early on points up in shallow water. Another way to find them is look for the boat shows around the lake as most of the time these days they are all catching fish. Still a lot of small ones but a bigger percentage of bigger fish started showing up this week. We are catching them all on Cotton Cordell CC Spoons 3/4 oz. chrome with a Flies-By-Night sea green fly tied 14" above the spoon. Catching most of them vertical jigging but when they are up in shallow water we cast and retrieve the spoon like a crank bait. Thanks to all of the folks below that fished with me this week.
Have fun fishing,
Tim
