Heck of a nice scattergun. Those are the ultimate home defense weapon. Birdshot, buckshot, birdshot, buckshot. I call that load, my hallsweeper.
Yeah, that should do it! Very cool arsenal!

Personally, I think the OD finish is hideous, but to each his own. The real beauty of fine weapons is on the inside, and I am sure each is a work of art. Looks like an effective duo to me. Thanks.....I find OD to be great. I want the XD .40 in Blk/Green combo next.

Novas are sweet. I have had a few mossbergs and the 870 is much nicer.

the 870 has a real bad problem cycling shells if you put some rounds through it you will see... ever since remington come out with the "express" line they ALL suck!!! I was a die hard Remington man till I bought an express when it first came out also got one fro my dad and father in law...
They all would fire the first shot and then try and chamber the second and third at the same time and jam!!!
I even gave remington a second chance and purchased the 3 1/2 in super mag... That was the stupidist thing I have ever done! got it out and thje first three shells cycled perfectly and then BINGO!!! exact same problem,
I still have the three wingmasters that I grew up with 12ga, 20ga, and 410 all great guns but when they went withthe express they gave up on quality... When you ask Remington to fix the problem they want you to pack the gun up and send it to them to have for about 3 months and pay for the shipping and handeling...
They suck so bad that I GAVE the supermag to my neighbor and he said that he knew a remington rep... when he told the rep of the issue he would never call back!!!!!!!
I guided goose hunts in houston for several years and I am VERY hard on shotguns, but the remington never performed for me in the field... I certainly would not stake my life on that piece of junk, I used a browning BPS stalker for three years and it did good but finally failed, the safety actually would disingage and the gun would release the fireing pin while the gun was not in my hand!!! SUPER DANGEROUS!!!! got it fixed but did not have enough faith in the gun so I told my dad to throw it in the bay.
I purchased the nova an have put 3 years of duck/goose hunting on the gun and NEVER had a problem I will swear by that gun and IF I ever buy another shotgun it will be another NOVA, I only wish Remington would get their stuff together because I hate not buying american...
Chicken man- sorry to rain on your parrade I just have been bent over by remington and they dont really seem to care. I hope you got a good one.

Well...I hope I got a good one too. I dont see why they are favoried by LEO over all (other than FN's). I have spent 600+ rounds though 2 Mossberges. One with an 18 the other with a 20 and they sucked over time. The 870 has a 10yr warrenty if Im not mistaken. Novas are good but no LEO gun. Thats a fact. This ones for people not birds + I have no idea where you live.....could you not be a Texan? Cheers
