My livewell has water coming in threw the overflow. The way I understand it, water should not come in from overflow. It stops getting water in from overflow once it fills. Why would I be gettin water in from overflow? My guess is there has to be a leak in overflow hose. Does anyone have a answer?
Thanks for your input.

Is it a standpipe overflow?
Is it higher than the waterline, or lower?

jtexas,

There is no standpipe. The overflow is lower than the aerator. The overflow is higher than the hull opening next to the hull drain. Hope I answered your question.

If the hose were leaking, wouldn't water be flooding the bilge instead of the livewell?

So anyway, your livewell overflow is an open hole in the side of the well with a hose leading to a thru-hull fitting through the transom, which is underwater when the boat is floating?

If the overflow hole is lower than the surface of the lake, water will pour in, until the level of water in the livewell is even with the surface of the lake.

Couple ways to prevent that from happening: make the boat float higher in the water (by throwing something heavy overboard), or get a drain plug that fits the hole.

I guess my fishing partner will have to give one up for team, overboard he goes. Ha Ha.

Sounds like I shouldn't worry. Thanks for responding.
