Well folks TXSBHA had another successful tournament and kudos to Mike Andrews for running it smoothly and for all the participants that made it a success.
We had a total of 9 entries and 1 team that fished but not for the money due to time constraints. But Dutchman's son did catch the heaviest sand bass and was awarded a handsome assortment of
BB's Lures.
The fishing was good but the wind and the recreational boaters made it nearly impossible to stay on fish. My wife and I decided to anchor off a point and take out chances there and it paid off for us.
In the end Team Darkness took 1st place with a stringer weighing 7.96, with Silver Potlicker's. Second went to Team Andrews with 7.76,with
TNT's and Pink Potlicker's and 3rd to Team Proline with 7.16 with Beast's. There was a tie for big fish 1.04 between Team Proline and Stump Jumper and so they divvied the money. Most if not all the fish were post spawn males returing to main lake humps.
Again I want to thank the contestants, sponsors, and the wives that came out to fish with their hubbies... Today we had three nuptial pairs in the tourney and in my case it was a winning combination because Angie reeled in her share of fish. We hope to see Monda and Becky again as well as the young anglers form Team Flying Dutchmand and Triton 170.
To the door prize donors to you for your support
