Well, last weekend I was on daddy duty.
I decided I'd take my 3 year old daughter fishing, We spent 30 Min's digging in the already dry Houston soil and gathered a few lorms "as my daughter says."
We arrived at a large pond in the woodlands and walked around, guess who was carrying a picnic hamper, rods, chairs and all the tackle?
On arrival I spotted a bunch of Blue Gills and Bass in the margins, I threw a few small balls of ground bait and set about setting up her new pole. I cast out and then set the hook, then the rod was handed to Kate, she ended up catching 10 Blue Gills and a Large Mouth Bass without any further help.
After a while, I heard the usual "I want some apple juice" So We had a little picnic on the bank.
Kate lay ed back in the sun and said "Daddy this is the life!"
I think a tear rolled down my cheek and I said yes it is!
I hope I've got a little Carper in the making!
