How does night time fishing affect the bite? Better, normal, slow, forget about it? Thanks!

That is the only time of day i fish for big 'gills- - LATE at night!! It has been awesome all spring! My slowest night to date was 25 'gills! I fish for 'em all summer long, and only at night. Best times are the full moon periods.

BTW it is 12:37 AM, Friday, May 9, 2008! And i have been home from the "honey hole" less than an hour!

To me it seems like the location makes a lot of difference, as some ponds turn on at night and others turn off. My lake spots turn off at night too.

One thing I have noticed is that the big green sunfish and warmouth bite better at night.

I like to fish ponds early in the morning and just before sundown.
