Too many boats out there chasing the Green Fish tomorrow for me to be on the lake.

I think I will be in the middle of the boat ramp with my headlights on bright and have break down early tomorrrow morning.

You know the answer to that question, if its directed at me

batten down the hatchs...some nasty stuff heading right to us

I'd pay big bucks to see that if you're serious.

And TB calls me a trouble maker

Fishing Report

What a way to start the weekend!!

Got a late start only to get stuck in traffic, got bait(store bought ) then off to see MrG and Lana. Lauched and headed to the SPOT, said hi to oldrustynuts, mouse and hookset and off in search of the bigguns. On our first pass, here comes a boat flying and yelling to get off the lake a storm is headed this way. Didn't want to take chances so we relayed this message to team rustynuts and headed to the ramp only to find a mass confusion!! No sense of patience, some folks just don't know how to stay calm..

Anyway, made it home safely. It did rain in Cove, that's the only place where we seen the road wet!! Now the moon is out along with the stars.

Did we get Skunked?? Don't know because we didn't even get a rod out of it's holder. I guess maybe not, because we didn't even get to fish. You decide..

Total of 60 miles to the lake and back at $3.59 a gal!

BTW, I like the new smilies.. LOL

It did look dark on the water. I got off and home with nothing ever hitting...was in hurry cleaning a few little greenies for nothing.

I sure feel like loading the boat back up and head to the lake!!

There was some nasty lightening right over head. I'm glad we got off the water since I wasn't liking sitting there holding onto a metal wheel while all the confusion was happening on the ramp. Thanks to our friends for offering us a place to get out of the weather if we needed it. You guys are the best. The only thing good about tonight was getting to say hello to some of the Belton Bunch and hanging out with Buddyweiser waiting our turn to load up. I'm seeing some nice fish being caught in the pics. Too bad we didn't get to try. I got as far as taking the rubber bands off my poles and putting the lip gripper on my side of the boat, lol. I was ready!

Got off work a little early, but decided to weedeat and dodge the lightning instead of fish, hopefully see y'all out there on Sun.....

Good Morning Belton Bunch!

Good morning to you guys too. Thought I would be smart and beat the crowd this morning . Left the house at 430 am and boats were back up to almost the gate house. Over 200 boats in green fish contest.

Well I'm back home. The shad where few and far between this morning on bank "a". I only got about 1.5doz. in the bucket. They worked out fine. No hybrids to the bank for me . Had one one but he came off way out there. The whites were still in tight. The shad put a wupp'en on those old green fish. I did my best to rid the lake of them . I can always tell when some new bank "a" fisherman show up. They always have there flash light on looking where they are walking and fumbling with tackle . Had someone in a Tiger Football shirt (Dbones was that you???) and TeamYD(Scott). This is where it gets real good. Scott caught a 18.25 hybrid. He was happy and came trotting down the bank to place it on my stringer(he does not have one). He gets it on dropped back in the water all seemed normal. Then I here "Oh Sh@#t!" I turn just in time to see the stringer heading out to sea and Scott in mid-air and a SPLASH. Yes he did jump in after it and got it. I guess I forgot to tell him that hybrids are still in a fighting mood even after they are on the stringer. That fish got in the water and took off jerking the stringer right out of Scott's hand . Now everybody on the bank is laughing. A few minutes later after Scott calms down I hear "I need to go to the Alltel store today". Yes you guessed it had his cell phone in the pants pocket. So it was a good morning, caught some fish and had a GOOD laugh at someone elses expense. Every trip is an adventure! I am sorry about the phone
