Tracy, your problem could be as simple as a blown fuse to a bad compressor. First check the fuses then check the compressor connections to make sure they didn't get disconnected. I'm not familiar with your area, so I would be clueless on who to take it to. Let your fingers do the "walking" and see if you can find someone to perform a free diagnosis. P.S. Sorry to hear about Jason Castro. LOL

I got this car this past Feb. and it worked fine. If it's low on freon where do I go to have it put back in? Sorry to be a pain new to this single life.

Thanks,

Tracy

if it aint the freon it could be a bad relay. bad relay kept the clutch on my compressor from engaging on my s10. heat would work but no cold air, replaced the relay and problem fixed.

AC problems are pretty tough to diagnose over the internet, too many moving parts to consider here (high pressure switch, compressor, evaporator, condensor, accumulator, relays, freon lines, etc.)

Very likely, if it's low on freon, you have a leak somwhere that should be remedied, or in short order you'll be back for another charge.

Ya'll are all so very helpful and I sincerely appreciate all the suggestions. And yep it was low on freon and now works just fine. Thanks again and special thanks to Mr. Browning for your generous offer.

no problem /how low was it,if just about a pound probably just keep an eye on it and see how long it last,if lower than a pound probably need to get it checked out.

It took 1 whole can of freon so I guess that's a pound? But I will keep a lookout, thanks
