I was browsing the TPWD site for the local lakes and noticed that Striped Bass (not Hybrids) have been stocked in Lavon for the past several years, but have never seen any posts about catching any there. Has anyone caught any stripers on Lavon lately?

The people fishing Lavon must be keeping it quiet. I fished there one time last year in the Fall. Caught some nice whites and 5 or 6 stripers about 16 inches. The stripers were mixed in with the schools of whites.

That's about as big as I've caught also. I have a feeling that alot of the Striper in Lavon are going home as really big whites and I've seen some really small whites on the stringer also. Perhaps I've just had bad luck to see the worst at Lavon, but the feeling I get there is, 'If it bites, it rides'. I've also never observed a TPWD officer there either on boat or on shore but then again if I'm on the boat I always have my PFD on so they may have never even slowed down if they saw I was wearing one.

I've seen some really nice pictures of Striper taken out of Lavon but none recent.
