So I have been looking around for a rod that I can use as a float rod but double as small water rod and decided to check out the Chub Stalker 9' @ 2.25 TC through action. The action seems fairly moderate for a 9' rod. I paired it up with a Daiwa Regal plus BRI 3500 loaded with 6# on one spool and 10# on the other. I have yet to fish it but have tossed some small running rigs with it and it cast like a dream for a smaller rod. I think I am about to go take it to a spot by the house here and see how she handles some floats. I got a bait feeder type reel for this rod since it will see double duty and I tend to walk away from my float occasionally and bait feeder will help in that aspect ;\) I think I am going to get 2 more and use them as a small water set for the DFW area. Anyway here is the tart
