I headed up to denison dam a couple of days ago with not really a clue of what I was doing. Just my 6 wt. rod floating line and a bunch of clousers. I got there and met a fellow fly flinger that gave me some tips and pointers and off we went. They weren't generating so it was pretty low and dead looking, but to my surprise I caught fish!! First place I went to if I could cast out far enough and let my clouser sink for a few seconds I was getting bit every time. Nothing to big but fun on the 6 wt. Then the siren sounded for them to start generating and I couldn't buy a bite. The water was to fast and deep for my setup. Good times though for a first time.
