Looking for suggestions on a new TM for my 17’ Nitro

I have a 12 V 40 thrust that I’m looking to upgrade.
I do have room for 2 TM batteries.
What do you have or recommend?

Thank you,

Get something in the 60/70# range. That should be a great improvement over what you've all ready got.

If you want to have all the power you ever need and plan on keeping yourboat a while then I would suggest you go to a 24v system. Put two batteries in the bilge and wire them in series and run just two wires to the front tm plug. Buy yourself either a 82lbs. Motorguide or 80lb MinnKota.

I've got a 70# MK Edge I bought for my 15' Skeeter. Its now on my 19' Stratos. It moved the first boat with no problems. Waiting to see how the 2nd boat handles with it. You always want the biggest motor you can afford. As Tommy said, go with a 24 volt. You'll be glad you did.
