This guy swam up to our boat on Sat. I thought it was a little weird. I've heard of Ralttlesnakes swimming before but I've never seen it before, until now.

I saw one at Choke curled up in a fork in a tree just above the waterline up in Elm creek. Got to feel a little sorry for them because of the hogs on the shore and the gators in the water life is really iffy.

I tore up a $100 rod keeping a snake out of a boat once. Well worth it though. Fished a PlanoBass tourney w/ BunkFish and pulled into a slip to retrieve my senko hung on dock slats, had a water mocassin, I think, about 1 foot from the boat under the dock on the move toward us. I think it was a mocassin, didnt stay long enough to properly identify. Once he saw the snake.. . took him darn near an hour to calm down.

yeah, those damn rattlers are getting pretty crafty these days, they'll do anything to swim in your boat and bite you, bastards.. i had a small water snake trying swimming towards my boat the other day but every time it got close i would throw range cubes at it, i think it eventually got full or got the point.

Next time, throw a ribbit frog at one and swing 'em into the boat after they slam it. Fun stuff.

I dislike rats and other vermin more. Unless that snake is a threat to me or mine, I think I will let them pass. Besides like someone else already posted that dudes chances ain't just real good WITHOUT me harassing him. Gators, Hawks, Eagles, Big Bass, Alligator Gar, all would have him as the main attraction on their menu if they had half a chance.
