Fishing was spotty yesterday we would go for about an hour without a bite then get into a group of fish and catch 5 or 6 then go for anothe hour without a bite the fish were really grouped up.

dang that sucks stroker, 12 lbs with 4 fish is really good.
went to tradinghouse today for a few hours, had only 1 bite, barely could get the boat in the water, because the lake is so low. if you have a 20 plus foot boat dont even try it. lots of matted grass, barely any cattails in the water.

Just got back from lake Amistad, this truly is an incredible lake. We found a huge school of shad and followed them the entire trip. We caught more fish than we could keep up with! Took awhile to figure out the big fish bite, but we did. I lost the big fish of the trip at the side of the boat.monstrous! This lake is special, anyone wanting to go,and needing someone to share expenses let me know,I'm in! Found some money saving, safe, and clean accomodations.there are some tricks to fishing this clear of water,a lot of people we talked with did not share our success. Headed out to waco in the morning, you would think I'd had enough fishing huh?

Just got back from Del Rio late last night. We finished in the top 30 and just onces out of the money. I killed four fish on Saturday and cost me a check. One Sally hooked deep and the other three died in the weigh in bag while waiting to get the boat out and travel to wiegh in site at the Marina. It was a costly leason learned. I was sick about it.
Zac and I had a guided trip on that lake a few weeks ago and it was no help. The lake was up over 18 foot since we had been there and looked completly different. We pre fished thursday and Friday. No wind and blue skys and did not catch a single fish. Saturday and Sunday the wind was 30mph. Someone Sank there boat on Sunday.
On Saturday we made a long run to a place we had never seen and just started fishing. It took some time but we found the bait and some active fish. We caught a couple of limits of fish both Saturday and Sunday and lost two big fish at the boat. Most of the 140 boats weighed in less than 10 fish in the two day tourny on lake Amistad!! The winners went to Mexico. Everyone who went that way had to deal with three and four foot rollers for a very long streach. That lake get rough!!
We had a blast the the tourney went very smooth. I have the schedule for 2009 Central region CAST if anyone wants to join us next year. Word is the Champinship next year will be at RC but it's not finial yet.
I'll be on Belton the rest of the week.

Tuffman on Limestone yesterday had 77 teams. I think 18lbs won it & there weren't as many big sacks as Waco. We were the last team to qualify with 11lbs.
See you guys tonight at the meeting.

We were thinking about fishin the Whitney open... Went out there last Sat.... Lake looks to be down about 8ft. Caught 7 keepers but fishing was very slow & no big fish. I think it will take several more lbs. than what we had to be in the money so count us out!

So can anybody show up for the tournament on Belton or is this just a club thing? If yes, what's the entry fee and location of launch?
