Thursday morning I go to unplug the onboard battery charger and one side shows 4 red bars. This not good. I get the meter and the charger is putting out. Battery dead. I just watered it. It's about 11 months old, like his brother. New last June.
A 20 minute trip to Wally World. Install battery and back to the lake. It's why I do their batteries.
18 month free replacement. You can find a walmart not too far away. Save the day and the fishing trip. Git 'r done go fish

Tha's exactly why I don't buy WM batteries.

Less than a year later you're having to dig around upside down in your bilge area removing wires to remove and replace 'em.

No thank you!

I bought a Optima dry cell . No water, no acid running out and works great. Kinda high but I would do it again. I think thats the way to go for trolling motor batterys

I'vd had Everstarts in my last 4-5 boats and as soon as these Continentals die in my Skeeter I'll buy more Everstarts. Great batteries at a great price with excellent warranty. Never an issue with them and I fish a lot. They are good batteries.
Besides most batteries are made by just a few manufacturers so in essence probably not a big difference anyway.

As much as my little Procraft bounces around when running I have never had any battery leak acid anywhere.

I also use the Everstart now because of the easy exchange if it does go bad... Go out to Breckenridge Texas and find an Optima battery if you forget to turn the master switch off or whatever.

here is a walmart there or normally close enough to save the day.

I have had Wal-Mart battery's in my last two boat and I have never had a problem with them. I can't see spending a lot of money when you can get the same thing for less.

My last cranking battery went out on me in the creek. Luckily there was a ramp nearby. I called the wife and we headed to Wal-Mart to buy a new one. I got to looking at the receipt for the old battery and it was 7 years old. I guess getting 7 years out of the old Everstart was pretty good. I am like others on here, nothing but Everstarts for the ease of there is always a Wal_mart close to the ramp.

On the forth year w/ their cranking battery and just replaced the two deep cell batteries that were about two years old. Think I even got back twenty bucks for the deep cells on the trade in. I've had pretty good luck

interesting, the last time I replaced my trolling everstart, they said they had to test it before they could give me my free replacement.

Course they said that without realizing it was beyond the warranty period anyway, so it didn't matter.

My point is, if you want your free battery before the old one dies, take it back before the automotive center opens or after it closes.

I guess jtexas is right , they have always checked mine and a couple they said were still good..they lose some steam, but still hold a charge. My interstate, starting battery, will change to 15+ but the walmarts only go to 13+
