Good news for those of you guys fishing the Legends of lake fork tournament on may 17,18th.
Mercury will be at the tournament and will be bringing a very good selection of the new Mercury Fury Propellers for you guys to try out. And buy if you want.
I will be there after the tourny hours also and will be available to help with prop selection, and installation, and setup help. (i'm fishing the tournament!)
if your NOT fishing the tournament, get with me directly and i'll help you with a demo of the new prop!!
I will have some of my "fast props" there also. So if you have a FAST boat and wanna try one of my choppers, just stop by and see me!
see ya there
steve.

thanks guys. I'm proud of my work, you can tell, huh?
OH, and we have 20 Fury's coming for the Legends tourny.
I talked to Billy at Sartin Marine. We'll be selling these props at a special price.
only 498.00 plus 6.75% sales tax. $531.61 I know it sounds like alot, but this prop's suggested retail is 700.00 (as opti said earlier). AS always you'll be able to try before you buy!!!
we'll be able to take master card, visa, checks, and yes, cash is cool too. trade-in's will also be allowed.
come see me personally after the weigh-in and i'll help you guys out with setup and prop choice!!
steve.

What kind of trade value for a brand new Trophy to purchase a 26 pitch Fury?

Just got in some fury's.
i brought a 25p fury to my shop and checked it all out.
the pitch is accurate, which did surprise me.
honestly...it is slightly out of balance. one slightly heavy blade, but not as bad as some of the other mercury props i've seen. it's definately usable as is.
the barrel is much longer than the tempest. it's quite a bit lighter also, with thinner blades, due to the new x7 alloy. It's a 14" diameter vs. the tempest at 14 5/8's diameter. which is okay too. much better cupping on the fury and wrapped around the tips. which i like alot!!
the only drawback i see to it, is the leading edge surface area is smaller, which makes finetuning the holeshot a bit difficult. however since you have to drop 1 degree of pitch vs. the tempest that may not be a problem. I do like the flames on the barrel. that's pretty cool!
the blades surface area seems to be bigger and longer, which is a good thing also. the 3.0 ltr's will like that.
I've heard the head guy at the mercury propeller division will also be at the legends tournament to help out. that's cool too.
Looking forward to meeting you guys at the tournament.
remember to see me about the special introductory pricing at 498.00 for any fury at the tournament!
steve

So far during "some" testing the Fury has been giving some pretty good results.
the one thing i can say for 100% sure is, that x7 alloy is really tough!!!
i have a 25 here that impacted a stump and bent the blade. Took forever to straighten it, and it still isn't perfect. Keep that in mind, IT'S NOT A STUMP FRIENDLY PROPELLER!!!!
